In 2011, The RIAI and Offaly County Council held an open completion for the design of a multidisciplinary community arts centre in the heart of Tullamore. The buildings U-shaped form creates a splayed three sided courtyard which address the park. The building sits atop a plinth which slopes up from the ground level of the park to create an outdoor performance area at the focal point of the courtyard. Pedestrian routes through the park and along the canal were carefully considered and incorporated into the design of the Centre, leading visitors alongside and through the building.
